2018 Spring League – Referee Requirements

Dear Parent or Guardian,

Thank you for registering your child to participate in the 2018 Spring Development League.

For this new Spring Development League and to celebrate our 30th Anniversary, we have added a tournament at the end of the season. The tournament will be a two game, one day tournament. The region will BBQ and lunch will be provided to all participating teams. Eligibility for this tournament will be determined by meeting a minimum amount of volunteering requirements. 8U and above will need to accumulate 10 referee points and all teams will need 5 volunteer points in order to participate.

Referee points can only be earned by referees that are AYSO certified with a minimum of a Regional Badge. If you are not a certified referee, and wish to help, there is an opportunity to be certified this Saturday February 24 at our Regional Referee Course. The course will be at the Fellowship in the Pass Church on Oak Valley Parkway from 8AM-4PM (lunch will be provided.) Completion of this course will certify an attendee as a Regional Referee.

To sign up for the course, you must first register as a volunteer. This can be done at account.passareaayso.org. After you have completed a volunteer application, go to AYSOU.org. Login with your same login as you used at account.passareaayso.org. Search for the Beaumont Regional Referee Course on February 24. Click on the course, and sign up. Then show up Saturday to become a referee. Lunch will be provided. You can now earn referee points to get your team into the tournament.

Teams without referees will not be able to participate in the tournament. There will be a reward for the teams with the most accumulated referee points as well. So if you are willing to help your child’s team earn their spot in the tournament, sign up for the referee class today.

Thank you,

Pass Area AYSO Region 641
