Team Manager Meeting | Thursday July 28, 2016
The Team Manager meeting is designed to communicate important information necessary for a smooth AYSO Soccer Season. Topics covered will include:
- Introduction to AYSO Philosophies
- Mission and Vision
- Kids’ Zone
- Parent and Spectator Standards of Behavior
- NO PETS POLICY and how to communicate it
- Important Dates
- Photos and;
- Financial Responsibilities.
Information regarding how to make a banner, quarter can and ordering team t-shirts will be available for those interested.
The Team Manager meeting is MANDATORY for all Team Managers volunteering for the Fall Season of Pass Area AYSO.
Coaches who have not recruited a Team Manager must attend a Team Manager Meeting in order ensure the information covered is passed on to participants.
Mandatory Makeup Coach Meeting | Thursday July 28, 2016
This is a Mandatory Makeup Coach meeting offered for volunteers unable to attend any of the previous sessions. Volunteers are highly encouraged to attend the earlier ones, as they’re tailored to specific divisions.
The Mandatory Makeup Coach Meeting is designed to cover the basic information needed to deliver an enjoyable Pass Area AYSO Soccer experience to all participants. Pass Area AYSO Regional Volunteers will present vital information to attendees including: AYSO Introduction and History, Sportsmanship, Kids Zone Guidelines, Safety, Important Dates and AYSO Best Practices.
In an effort to provide the best possible AYSO experience for participants attendance at a coach meeting is MANDATORY for all coaches volunteering for the Fall Season.
2016 Fall Season Coach “Call-By” Date | Friday July 29, 2016
The Coach Call-By Date is the deadline for coaches to contact players on his/her team.
Parents – If you have not been contacted by a coach by the end of this day via email or phone about when and where your player will be practicing contact the region through the Contact Us page of the website.
Coaches – All inquiries made after this date will be referred directly to you by providing your phone number(s) and email address to the assigned players’ family.
Due to historical excitement and anxiety attached to the beginning of practice and the season, coaches are encouraged to provide team information the assigned player families before this date.
All inquiries made prior to this date will be referred back to this date and information.
2016 Referee Clinics and Certification - Super Camp | Friday July 29, 2016 - Sunday July 31, 2016
Referee Super Camp training clinics will be held the weekend of July 29 to July 31, 016 at Centennial High School in Corona, CA (map).
The clinics provide an opportunity to coaches and referees become AYSO certified. The clinics will be performed by AYSO’s Coach and Referee instructors.

How to Register:
Registration must be done at eayso.org. Login to your account, go to “Enroll to take a class” and search for the corresponding class roster number, then just signup!
Please note, spaces will be reserved based on the order that completed applications with payment are received.
- Registration will start half hour before each clinic. Refer to the date and time above.
- Please be punctual in order to stay on schedule.
- All participants must be registered AYSO volunteers. Registration can be done at eayso.org
- Classes will be indoor/outdoor. Please dress appropriately and prepare accordingly. Sunscreen, extra water, etc.
- For both, referee and coach clinics, please bring a pen/pencil, notepad, water and dress for physical activity. For coaching, also bring a soccer ball.
- Please prepare for the course. You can download the AYSO Coaches manuals at our Docs & Forms section.
- Completing the online portion of this course at aysotraining.org is highly recommended.
ALL TEAMS Are Eligible to Begin Practice | Monday August 01, 2016
Practices for the season can begin on this date for all teams in all divisions and whose coaches have completed all pre-requisites and have passed regional clearance. Your players’ head coach will contact you prior to or around this date to inform you when and where practices will be held.
Please be aware that many coaches may choose to begin practice after this date. This is not a mandatory or guaranteed start date for every team. It is simply the first date coaches can start scheduling practices. Check with your coach about days and times of practice.
Regional Referee Clinic and Certification | Saturday August 06, 2016
This course will prepare new volunteer referees to officiate games during the upcoming Fall 2016 Season. Attendees who successfully complete the course shall be certified as a Regional Referee. This is an 8 hour course.
Please bring a pen/pencil, notepad, water and dress for physical activity. Lunch will be served at no cost to attendees from AYSO Region 641.
To signup for the clinic, login to eayso.org, click “Enroll to take a class” (at the bottom right), search under Roster for 201601711 and sign up!
Volunteers attending this course are encouraged to complete the online portion of the course at www.aysotraining.org. A valid volunteer form must be on file with AYSO in order to access online courses.
Any registered child 12 years old or older can attend and become a youth referee.
Coaches and parents are reminded that all teams in the U10-U19 Division are required to provide referee coverage to be eligible for secondary season play which includes the Regional Tournament, Area Tournament and Section Tournament. Details of the referee point requirements are outlined in this document.
Lunch and water will be provided to all participants.
Uniform Handout | Saturday August 06, 2016
On this date, approved head coaches, assistant coaches or team managers can pick up their team uniforms. Parents and players do not need to attend.
VIP Registration & Orientation Meeting | Saturday August 06, 2016
The VIP meeting is designed to inform all participants how this program functions and help answer questions, as well as to offer additional information for new parents to AYSO. The meeting will cover important program information including parent/guardian & volunteer requirements and duties, practices and games, Planned Schedule for Saturdays, Field Location and player equipment.
The VIP program will be managed by Natasha Palmer, our VIP coordinator. She’ll be available to answer any questions about the program.
Registration will also be open. The VIP fee is $25 per player.
U6 to U12 - 2016 Fall Season Opening Day | Saturday August 13, 2016
It’s Opening Day for U6 to U12 division for the 2016 Fall Season of Pass Area AYSO!
We wish all players, coaches, managers, volunteers and parents a fun and enjoyable season!
Note: Not all teams will play this day. Game schedules will be published closer to this date.
Opening day for U14 to U19 will be made available soon.
U5 Jamboree Orientation Meeting and Uniform Handout | Saturday August 13, 2016
The U5 Jamboree season will begin this Saturday August 13, 2016 with uniform handouts and an orientation meeting from 9am to 11am at the Sports Park. Parents/Guardians with players in the U5 Jamboree program need to attend between this time period to receive a uniform, learn the time of the session that the player will have to attend every Saturday and learn where these training sessions will be held. There will be no games on this day. The U5 Jamboree administration table will be located by the snack bar, this by the main regional administration table.
The first game day will be on Saturday August 20. Children will need to attend to their assigned game time:
- 9am-10:00am for Boys
- 10:30am-11:30am for Girls
Detailed program information, including a calendar of games and the session plans for each game can be found at the U5 Jamboree section here. We recommend that all parents/guardians take the time to review the information in detail.
We want to remind parents in this program that in order for it to be a successful one, it requires the assistance and participation from parents for every session and thus, it requires for parents to become registered AYSO volunteers. Becoming an AYSO volunteer is very easy, detailed information is available at the U5 Jamboree program information.

U8 Referee Clinic | Sunday August 14, 2016
This course will prepare volunteer referees to officiate U8 games during the upcoming Fall 2016 Season. This being a new implantation in our region, with the main focus of begin educating U8 players to the principle of having an official referee overseeing the game; as well as to offering the experience to coaches that are new to referees.
This is also a great opportunity for youth referees 12 years or older to gain experience in a non-competitive environment, since scores are not kept at this division.
