Everybody likes to win, but developing successful players and people is what’s fundamental in AYSO.

Our Vision is to provide a world class youth soccer program that enriches children’s lives.

Our Mission is to develop and deliver you a quality youth soccer program which promotes a fun, family environment based on AYSO’s Six Philosophies: Everyone Plays®, Balanced Teams, Open Registration, Positive Coaching, Good Sportsmanship and Player Development.

We Are Volunteer Powered

Pass Area AYSO is a volunteer-run organization. Coaches, referees and administrators are volunteers. Many parents, neighbors, relatives and friends lend their time and talents so that each child gets a terrific AYSO experience.

Our volunteer staff works countless hours to build and maintain the program. As the program continues to grow more volunteers are needed to cover vital areas and reduce workload on individuals that often hold multiple positions.

If you believe in AYSO, your community and our children and want to become a volunteer, contact us and get the registration process started.

About Our Programs

We have several local community Soccer programs. These programs are where kids, coaches, and parents smile and have the most fun… by playing AYSO soccer in our neighborhood fields.

About Our Board Members

Pass Area AYSO Region 641 is led by a board of directors (Board Members) who help with strategy and implementation of creating a great soccer program for children. There are seven required board positions in every Region, but the board can include others to help with the process.

The History of AYSO

The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) was established in the Los Angeles area in 1964 with nine teams. It was the dream of a group of devoted soccer enthusiasts who started the organization in a garage. Today, AYSO has more than 50,000 teams and more than 600,000 players. It also employs 50 people at the AYSO National Office in Torrance, Calif.

Over the years, AYSO has created many valuable programs and concepts. Most notably, AYSO revolutionized youth sports with its “Everyone Plays®” and “Balanced Teams” philosophies. In AYSO, each child who registers is guaranteed to play at least half of every game. To help create evenly matched games, all AYSO players are placed on new or “balanced” teams each year. These decisions are made based on each player’s skill level and the overall ability of the team.

Since its establishment, AYSO has continued to grow and offer its membership relevant programs. Continue reading…
